New cabinets, counters, backsplash and flooring in the same layout usually need no building permit. Most Waterdown kitchen renovations fall into this group.
Waterdown is part of the City of Hamilton, so removing a wall, moving plumbing or adding a window needs a Hamilton building permit. The City asks for the full fee with the application, and we build that into the schedule.
Moving a gas range is done by a licensed gas fitter. New circuits for an island, lighting or appliances are filed with the Electrical Safety Authority. We book and coordinate both.
Kitchens in the old village are often small and closed in, with wiring to update once walls are open. In Waterdown North, South and East, builder kitchens have good layouts that need better cabinets, counters and storage.

No. Waterdown is a short drive from our office at 466 Dynes Rd, and the price we quote includes it.
If the sink, range and walls stay where they are, usually not. Taking out a wall, relocating plumbing or cutting in a new window means a City of Hamilton permit, and we look after the drawings, the application and every inspection.
Yes. Taking out a peninsula is one of the most common changes we make. If it has a sink or outlets, we move the plumbing or power and fill the floor so it matches.
About two weeks on site, after about a week of design and ordering. New floors through the main level add a few days.
Yes, and it is best done at the same time. Our Rockcliffe Survey job carried the same tile through the breakfast area, laundry, powder room and foyer.
Yes. Our workmanship is covered for four years, and the cabinet, counter and appliance makers each add their own warranty on top.
