About this project
Photos from two kitchens appear in this gallery. The before photo shows dark wood cabinets, a dark island and a diamond tile backsplash. One finished kitchen has white shaker cabinets with brass pulls, tall pantry units beside the fridge and a brass linear chandelier over the table. The other has light grey flat-panel cabinets with black bar pulls, a stainless chimney hood over a marble-look slab backsplash, under-cabinet lighting and large polished white floor tile. A front hall with the same polished tile leads past a curved staircase.
Flat-panel doors have no frame to collect dust, so they wipe clean quickly. Large polished floor tile carried from the hall into the kitchen keeps the main floor consistent and has fewer grout lines to clean.
