About this project
White shaker-style cabinets now run to the ceiling of this U-shaped kitchen, with crown moulding and glass-front uppers for dishes. Before, it had cream cabinets with arched doors, white appliances and brown counters. White counters with soft veining continue up the walls as a backsplash, lit by under-cabinet lights. A flush black cooktop sits under a slim stainless and glass hood, with a stacked wall oven and microwave in a tall cabinet beside a stainless French door fridge. The dark plank floor appears in both the before and after photos. Pot lights brighten the space.
A cooktop with a wall oven frees the counter run for prep and puts the oven at a comfortable height. Cabinets to the ceiling use space that would otherwise collect dust above the uppers.
