Dynes Rd. Custom Home, Burlington

Project photos

About this project

This gallery follows a new house from the lot to the finished home. Early photos show the old yard with an in-ground pool and debris, then foundation forms, then poured concrete walls wrapped in a black dimpled membrane during backfill. Wood framing goes up next, and the house is closed in with house wrap and windows in winter. The finished front is clad in light stone with arched upper windows, black double entry doors, stone steps with black railings and a dark garage door over a paver driveway. Inside, the main floor has dark grey plank flooring, polished tile, columns, crown moulding and pot lights.

The dimpled membrane keeps soil off the foundation walls and lets water drain down to the footing. Plank flooring in the rooms with polished tile in the halls puts the harder surface where traffic is heaviest.
